Modvind was born in the sacred halls of Herning’s music scene, a city known for its industrial heritage and now its vibrant rock culture. The band draws inspiration from psych rock, transforming raw, unpolished sound into something both familiar, fresh, and modern.

Elektrisk Hegn – A New Danish Rock Band with a Raw Sound from the Provinces

Elektrisk Hegn, an exciting new Danish rock band, is ready to take the stage by storm with their unique style of "knallert rock" or "provinstråd". Formed in 2023, the band delivers an authentic and honest expression to the Danish music scene with raw riffs and lyrics depicting the restlessness of youth and the monotony of adult life in suburban neighborhoods.

Their songs explore life where boredom and alienation often lead young people into petty crime and vandalism. At the same time, they reflect on how boyhood dreams gradually get replaced by everyday chores like trimming hedges and other suburban duties. Their sound and lyrics speak directly to those familiar with growing up and living in a corner of Denmark where time seems to stand still.

Musical Journey:
Elektrisk Hegn debuted in November 2023 with their first single, Kranium, which immediately gained recognition from several media outlets for its authentic vibe and raw expression. Since then, they have released several singles, all praised by critics and audiences alike. This success culminated in the summer of 2024 with the release of their debut EP, Dinosaur, which will be pressed on vinyl in early 2025.

Since April 2024, Elektrisk Hegn has played a series of carefully selected concerts at small, offbeat festivals in the provinces, as well as special events in and around Copenhagen. The band is known for their intimate performances, where they don’t just metaphorically meet the audience at eye level—but often quite literally. For Elektrisk Hegn, it’s all about creating a genuine connection, where the audience can see, feel, and even smell the band’s presence.

Beyond Borders:
Although the band sings in Danish, they’ve also attracted attention abroad. They were selected for the prestigious Spotify playlist Hoppstor Klinta, curated by Emil Klinta, who has worked with major names like Ghost and The Hellacopters. Additionally, Elektrisk Hegn has been featured on the Argentine rock and metal podcast El Gordo Metalero.

Elektrisk Hegn creates rock music deeply rooted in Danish culture, but their powerful riffs and attitude-filled sound have proven to be a universal language, reaching far beyond Denmark's borders.
