Chinese New Year is here, and we’re celebrating MRC style.
There will be beers, lion dancers, fortune cookies and a dressed up warpigs.

It’s going to be a chinese celebatory run like never before.

As always, we’ll have pace groups to suit everyone.

Arrive at 11 AM and pick the team that fits your pace:
Race Walking: 1-hour session, including instruction on different paces and techniques

Running Teams:
It’s Alive – 5 or 7 km – Slowest runner sets the pace

I Wish – 7 km – Pace: 5.45 min/km

Ny Såååårt – 10 km – Pace: 5.30 min/km

YFMU & IF – 10-12 km – Pace: 5.15 min/km

Stella 5 – 10 km – Pace: 5.00 min/km

Beer Geeks – 12 km – Pace: 4.30-4.45 min/km
Limbo Series – Season-specific intervals

What is Chinese New year?

2025 it's the year of the snake. Chinese New Year is a traditional celebration marking the start of the lunar new year. It's a time for family gatherings, feasting, and cultural festivities, and we want to bring some of that joy and excitement to our run!

If you want more Chinese new year celebrations, you can also join the Chinese tasting dinner in the evening.

RaceWalk with MRC

Walking is our newest addition, combining exercise and socializing with MRC’s spirit! Join us for a one-hour RaceWalk session, including an introduction to race walking techniques. All levels are welcome, as long as you’re comfortable walking 5 km at a regular pace without getting exhausted.

We love gathering at Warpigs and appreciate them hosting us month after month. To keep things smooth this December, please store jackets and bags in the General’s Room, so the staff can focus on serving great beer!
