Tasting Panel - If We Took The Bones Out, It Wouldn’t Be Crunchy
A beer that is the result of a co-work between Mikkeller and the record company Crunchy Frog, where it is meant to play a liquid key role in a series of musical pop-up events in Copenhagen.
This is an brown ale, and it pours a reddish brown topped with an off-white head.
The aroma is malty with lots of mildly roasted notes. Along with that there are dark chocolate, some leather and dry raisins and dates.
It’s a pretty easy to drink beer with a rather mild mouth feel. Lots of roasted malts, toffee, and some herbal stuff like cloves, anise and cinnamon.
Altogether a fresh, dry and spiced up brown ale with a friendly bitterness in the end.
