Mikkeller Bar Singapore opens Sun, 24 April 2016!

Mikkeller Bar Singapore is opening in Singapore on 24 April 2016, with 20 rotating craft beers on tap. This will also be the first bar in Singapore to ever operate out of shipping containers and the first Mikkeller Bar homed in such a quirky environment. Located at 120A Prinsep Street, Mikkeller Bar Singapore shares the same ground as Deck, an independent arts space which recently hosted Club Berlin and itself an architectural first in Singapore for how they cleverly transformed repurposed containers into a highly functional and aesthetic space. For the first shipment of beers that has arrived, more than 25 labels are exclusive to Mikkeller Bars including palate-biting 1000 IBU and a series of sours: Mikkeller Spontans.

Spoil yourself silly with 20 Mikkeller taps, groove to music by Mikkeller's dad (yes, someone named his child Mikkeller, and also happens to be DJ'in at the opening party!) and buddy Silvan from Minimal Simplicity and feed yourself with hot dogs and chips. 120 free beers waiting for the early folks. Hours: 4PM-11PM

Mikkeller Bar Singapore is located in arather unusual setting, surrounded by containers (19 magnificent repurposed containers) and exhibits, and along a stretch of road (Prinsep Street) where you will find Singapore’s first maternal and child health clinic (next door) built in 1923, a church from the 1930s (across the road) and an architectural masterpiece inspired by valleys and canyons (LaSalle College of the Arts McNally Campus). Design plays as big a part as the Mikkeller beers, and thus it is within this historical background and vibrant art scene where Mikkeller Bar Singapore will be launched.
