Limited release program off to a great start in San Diego!

What a great first release!  Wednesday night’s Viking Club and media meet and greet with Mikkel was a great time had by all.  Everyone in attendance was excited about the beer as well as the opportunity to meet Mikkel and drink beer or have their bottle or book signed.

Thursday kicked off with a bang starting with a good group of people that braved the looming rain to stand in line and purchase the first beers of our special can release program.  And while the release was going on the Mikkeller Running Club came out in force and braved the weather to run with Søren, the captain of the MRC.  Again, everyone was very excited about the two beers released in the can as well as our first barrel aged release to the public. The specialty kegs made by the brewers were also a big hit as well.  Uklar was a great first release in our hazy lineup merging the west coast style IPA and the Hazy North East IPA. Uklar comes across a little more bitter than other hazy beers but still follows through with the full body from the yeast and a juicy quality from the insane amount of hops shoved in to this beer.

Throughout the two days as I talked to everyone about the next releases planned I could see the excitement growing in anticipation for the beers to come in the coming weeks.  With the many different ideas coming through in the special release the are plenty beers planned that are sure to keep us all busy and looking forward to the next beer to be brewed.
