Leeds Beer Festival 2017
once again we found our way to Leeds for the 6th annual Leeds International Beer Festival.
Held in Leeds Town Hall, the venue is simply astonishing. The old building really shines as home to this event, mixing the old architecture with all the new exciting progress that is happening in the beer world.
As you
entered the grounds you were greeted by; the Magic Circus (new this year) hosted by Magic Rock Brewing.
One of the lead partners of the festival along with local Kirkstall Brewery. On the grounds outside you would also find a Tepee with some more Brewer's and a lot of food stands with some amazing things on the menu. One of our favorites was Bundobust (Indian street food).
As you moved inside you'd find the very grand Victoria hall (UK Beer Hall ) with a massive organ at the end mooning over you. There is also a cider room and US Beer room. And of course the crypt/ forest where yours truly served our beers from an overwhelming 10 taps.
Further in through the underground you would find more bars and the old prison facility, were one could enjoy a beer in the cell of your choice.
The Englishmen being set in their traditions only served beer in "proper" glasses; meaning UK pint glasses. And it was definitely in the air that a beer should be drunk and enjoyed to its fullest. And not just tasted!
In totalt there were held 6 sessions spread across 4 days. We had lots of people stopping by our stand, and we got to talk with a bunch of awesome people!
All in all we had a really good time and we are definitely hoping for an invitation for the 2018 edition!
Until next time!
