Mikkeller Bar Paris - Design Competition

Are you the designer/design team who will help us bring the first Mikkeller
Bar to Paris? Mikkeller has secured  a wonderful 2-story location in the 9th
arrondissement of Paris.

Our ambition is to create a beautiful and commercially successful bar, which will be our flagship bar in France. We are on a constant quest for renewal, so we expect your design will draw inspiration from our other locations without copying them and will also contribute meaningfully to the Paris bar scene and to Mikkeller’s
design aesthetic.

Competition Requirements

We expect to receive min. of following materials:
• Design layout of the space
• Mood board including relevant design/interior objects
• Facade design suggestion
• Design budget, incl. quote on the entire project.
• Portfolio of other executed designs
NOTE; This project is not subject to reconstruction, only design (cosmetic) is needed. This means that the bar and bathroom placements are fixed.

Practical information
Upon your application, we will send you a package containing: Floor plan,
Paris location photos and photos from other Mikkeller projects.

Onsite inspection will be possible in Paris -

Important dates

Intent of participation must be sent in via e-mail before Dec.14th. to Jacob Fjældhøj jf@mikkeller.dk
-Deadline for applications is Dec. 31st 2018.
-Screening and interviews will take place between Dec 31st – Jan 18th
-Designer will be picked from January 21st - 25th 2019
-Designing and building the bar in cooperation with Mikkeller will take place from February – March 2019 - Specific date to be determined.
