Mikkeller & Friends turns 5!

This Saturday the 24th of March we here at Mikkeller & Friends will be celebrating five years since our doors first opened on Stefansgade in Nørrebro (FB event). For this momentous occasion we have lined up a whole slew of great deals, giveaways and festivities.

Everyone knows that the best way to start your birthday is by going for a little jog so you can justify that extra piece of birthday cake! Mikkeller Running Club will be helping us out here and hosting a run for everyone at 11:00. They will be planning some beautiful routes for runners of all abilities and afterwards you can replenish your fluids with a free beer.

When the bar opens at 12:00 you will be greeted with an exclusive bottle and can release, and of course crazy beers on tap – Spontanhexadrupleblueberry anyone?! And to sweeten the deal, we will be having a tap takeover with Tired Hands featuring Alien Church, Helles Other People, We Are All Infinite & much much more.

Our little Belgian brother next door, Koelschip, will be hosting a Mikkeller Baghavn tasting with the sour scientist himself, Ehren Schmidt. Of the eight beers that will be apart of the tasting, half of them will be completely new, never released, and absolutely delicious! (TIX HERE)

We want all of Nørrebro to know who´s birthday it is, so we will be opening up our outdoor seating on the other side of the street. The vintage Mikkeller Morris car will also be making an appearance with both music and beers pouring out of her trunk. It´s also important to stay nourished on your birthday, thankfully our friends from La Neta and Ramen to Biiru will be on hand to satisfy your cravings.

Then – hold on to your Henry hats – we will be serving 200 FREE BEERS! It will be on a first come, first serve basis so don't get caught sleeping on this great giveaway. In addition to all these great deals and events we will be releasing the first ever Mikkeller & Friends t-shirt designed just for us by the wizard himself Keith Shore. Furthermore there will be an extremely limited selection of vintage Mikkeller beers for sale. Take a look for yourselves and let the drooling begin...
