The original Mikkeller Bar turns 8

A lot of beer has run through the taps at Mikkeller Bar Viktoriagade since we opened on May 2010. The very first Mikkeller Bar has been in the game for a long time, and it is time we show it some love and attention.

As tradition has it, we celebrate the bar’s birthday with an elaborate street party and a local flea market on sunny Viktoriagade in the start of May. The lovely staff from Mikkeller Bar will be serving beers and playing ambient, funky tunes from Firestarter CPH to suit the sunshine. There will be delicious ramen from Ramen to Bíiru, mouth watering munchies Hyggestund and sublime smørrebrød from Øl&Brød.

A host of the local businesses in Viktoriagade will also participate, so there will be ample opportunity to acquire some awesome street food, coffee and.. beer!

To that end, Mikkeller Bar Viktoriagade will provide an exclusive draft beer list with all the special beery gems we have been saving lately.

For the kids, Mikkeller Bar will hand out free chalk to decorate our beloved street any way you see fit; free soda for the best rendition of Henry and Sally, though!

The event takes place on Saturday May 5th. The festivities start at 11:00 with a running session by Mikkeller Running Club and will end at 21:00 where the music stops. The flea market will be going along for the majority of the afternoon as well as the food stands. After the music stops, the (after)party will withdraw into Mikkeller Bar where regular opening hours apply.

The street party also signifies the official kick-off of Mikkeller Beer Week 2018 and the warm up to MBCC 2018.
